Efecto del zeranol sobre la ganancia de peso, medidas ovino métricas y alométricas en ovinos criollos para carne bajo un sistema de pastoreo extensivo, en el valle del Cesar

Abstract
Resumen.
La presente investigación fue realizada en la hacienda Chimora ubicada en el municipio de Agustín Codazzi – Cesar. En esta investigación se determinó el efecto de una dosis de 12 mg de Zeranol en ovinos criollos en pastoreo y se evaluó la ganancia de peso, las medidas ovino métricas y las alométricas. Se planteó como hipótesis que el uso de Zeranol incrementa la ganancia de peso y el crecimiento. Con el fin de evaluar la hipótesis, se utilizaron 20 ovinos de 24 kg en promedio, 12 mg de Zeranol, jeringas, báscula electrónica, soga y cinta métrica. El objeto de estudio fue el Zeranol, y se utilizaron dos tratamientos: T1 Zeranol + Pastoreo y T2 Pastoreo. En el diseño experimental se aplicó la prueba t para la evaluación de la ganancia de peso, altura y longitud. La fase de campo duró 90 días, en los cuales los datos fueron recopilados cada 15 días durante tres meses. Al final de la recolección de los datos y su análisis en el S.A.S., se concluyó que el Zeranol no causó efecto significativo en la ganancia de peso en ovinos criollos en un sistema de pastoreo extensivo, debido a que los ovinos del T2 presentaron el mismo margen de peso que el grupo implantado (T1).
Abstract.
This research was made in the farm Chimora located in Agustin Codazzi in the department of Cesar. In this research, the effect of a dose of 12 mg of Zeranol on crossbred sheep was determined and it was also evaluated the gain of weight and the metric and allometric sheep measures. The hypothesis raised was that the use of Zeranol increases the gain of weight and growth. In order to evaluate the hypothesis we used 20 sheep, each one 24 kg average, 12 mg of Zeranol, syringes, electronic tilts, rope and metric tape. The object of study was the Zeranol, and two treatments were used: T1 Zeranol + Pastoreo and T2 Pastoreo. In the experimental design the T test was applied for the evaluation of the gain of weight, height and length. The field phase lasted 90 days in which data was collected every 15 days during 3 months. In the end of the investigation, after data was collected and analyzed in the S.A.S, it was concluded that Zeranol did not cause any significant effect in the gain of weight in crossbred sheep in an extensive grazing system because the sheep using T2 showed the same weight range that the Implanted T1 group.
