    Conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas en mujeres trabajadoras Sexuales en torno a las Infecciones de Transmisión Sexual en el municipio de Pasto.

    Objetivo: Investigar los conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas de mujeres trabajadoras sexuales en Pasto sobre infecciones de transmisión sexual (ITS) y su autocuidado. Metodología: Estudio mixto, con enfoque histórico-hermenéutico, tipo observacional descriptivo, diseño prospectivo y transversal. Se realizó una encuesta a 24 mujeres trabajadoras sexuales en Pasto. Resultados: Perfil demográfico: 62,5% entre 18-28 años, 66,67% con educación secundaria, 70,83% sin ocupación adicional. Uso de preservativos: la mayoría conoce su importancia, pero hay brechas en educación y acceso a información. Autocuidado: falta de conocimiento sobre métodos de detección y prevención de ITS. Conclusión: La investigación revela brechas significativas en conocimiento y acceso a información sobre ITS y autocuidado entre mujeres trabajadoras sexuales en Pasto. Se requiere mejorar la educación y acceso a información confiable para promover la salud sexual y prevenir ITS. Abstract. Objective: To investigate the knowledge, attitudes and practices of female sex workers in Pasto regarding sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and their self-care. Methodology: Mixed study, with a historical-hermeneutic approach, observational descriptive type, prospective and transversal design. A survey was conducted among 24 female sex workers in Pasto. Results: Demographic profile: 62.5% between 18-28 years old, 66.67% with secondary education, 70.83% without additional occupation. Use of condoms: most know their importance, but there are gaps in education and access to information. Self-care: lack of knowledge about detection and prevention methods for STIs. Conclusion: The research reveals significant gaps in knowledge and access to information about STIs and self-care among female sex workers in Pasto. Improving education and access to reliable information is required to promote sexual health and prevent STIs. Recommendations: It is recommended to strengthen research in this type of population, focusing on habits and lifestyles in general, allowing for the generation of a self-care and co-responsibility approach for their actions.
